The source of the Pu-Lao Hot Spring is one of the Laonong River's tributary creeks. The river water stays at a temperature between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius the year round, and the spring water is an authentic weak alkaline carbonate spring. As the water is clear and does not smell, one's skin takes on a sheen after washing in it, and it is also said to relieve tiredness and aches, which gave rise to the saying “go as an old man and return as a child, never growing old”.
